Keeping guests entertained throughout your big day can seem like a difficult task, but we've put together some of our favourite entertainment ideas so your wedding will be the hot topic on all your guests' lips for a long time to come (and keep the little ones preoccupied throughout!)
Instagrammable backdrops
Give the traditional photo booth a unique twist by creating a photo scene complete with backdrop and props. Think foliage wall with a loveseat bench, Happily Ever After halogen sign with statement pampas grass, or even a sequin wall framed by a white balloon arch.
Hire a selfie pod to take the photos, or provide a polaroid camera for guests to take themselves and add to your guest book or pin to a memory board.
You may wish to consider setting up a hashtag so that you'll be able to see everyone's social media photos, too. Make sure its unique to your wedding so that photos don't get lost online.
Food & beverage stations
Food stations can make your guests' dining experience much more interactive and fun than a traditional sit-down meal. Whether it's a bubbly bar, ice cream station, donut wall or popcorn stand, we have all the options available on our Wish List. Just speak to your Memory Maker for more information.
Your stations can be for more than food, too. Depending on the theme of your wedding, you could include something like a glitter station or flower garland stand – fun for adults and kids alike!
Floor-filling music
Don't let your day end with an empty dancefloor. Your options don't end with a DJ or band; book a live saxophonist to play alongside, wandering amongst your guests. This adds an extra dimension to your musical entertainment (not to mention being really cool!).
How about creating some nostalgia with a performance from a tribute band or playlist from your favourite era. Your guests will be singing along to those nostalgic anthems you forgot you loved.
Something different
Couples are often looking for something different and interactive on top of music, so why not add something extra to your day with an incredible street performer? Whether you'd like your guests in awe of some acrobats, gasping at a magician, or seeing into the future with a tarot reader, there is something for everyone. You could even go all out with something like fireworks - the choice is yours!
For the little ones
Keep both parents and children happy by making sure the kids are occupied throughout the day. You could hire a professional entertainer or minder, or set up kid-friendly activities for them to entertain themselves with. This could be as simple as a craft station, colouring books, or party bags.
Incorporating kid-friendly aspects of the wider day is a worthwhile thought, such as kid-friendly food stations (ask your Memory Maker about our children's cupcake station).
Treasure hunts, video game stations and movie rooms also go down a treat, and if you have outdoor space, bouncy castles are enjoyed by both big and little kids alike!
